Mayville School District Honors Local Business for its Support
The Mayville School Board recently recognized Northwest Cable Construction, Inc. for its support of the district’s schools.
The company was honored as part of the Wisconsin Association of School Boards’ 2023 Business Honor Roll program. The program recognizes local school district business partners that support their local schools by providing resources or additional learning opportunities for students and staff.
“Northwest Cable Construction, Inc. is a strong supporter of Mayville School District” said John Westphal, Board President. “In the past year, they have been instrumental in supporting our athletics infrastructure and programs.”
“Northwest Cable Construction, Inc., led by Mr. DJ Legas, has generously supported our school district, community and student athletes through a number of service and monetary donations throughout this past school year and beyond,” said Dr. Scott Sabol, Superintendent.
The nomination letter reads, “Last fall, the Northwest Cable team ran internet cable from our High School to our athletic facility press box at no cost to the district. This was work that would have cost us more than $11,000, allowing us to implement technology, as well as to stream our events for our community. They have donated service hours and product to improve our community baseball fields on which our Varsity and JV baseball teams play.”
In closing, “Mr. Legas is always a resource for human power, equipment and expertise for our team. Most recently, Northwest Cable donated $6,000 to help our district lease a robotic field marker to ensure we can continue to host student athletic events across our facilities. We are forever grateful for this outstanding business partner!”
On behalf of the Mayville School District, we are honored to acknowledge Northwest Cable Construction, Inc. for their generous support and helping to prepare the children of our community to be tomorrow’s leaders.
